Nigeria Monitoring and Evaluation Management Services II (NMEMS II) seeks a suitable and qualified candidate for the position of HIV/AIDS PEPFAR ADVSOR in the Abuja office.
JOB TITLE: HIV/AIDS PEPFAR ADVISOR
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the implementation of HIV/AIDS PEPFAR component of the NMEMS II Project and delivers on schedule
Manage day-to-day HIV/AIDS PEPFAR operations of the NMEMS II project and ensure adherence studies related ti HIV/AIDS PEPFAR activities.
Lead and organize technical support for data quality assessment and improvement activities working collaborate with PEPFAR implementing partners and other relevant stakeholders
Lead and organize technical support for USAID PEPFAR’s development of country operational plans and portfolio reviews
Ensure adherence to the project quality assurance processes
Supervise and direct the work of NEMS II HIV/AIDS PEPFAR Senior ME specialist.
Lead and oversee project coordination efforts with the various implementing partners and host country organizations
Delineate lines of communication among all stakeholders to ensure coordinate technical support to USAID PEPFAR team and implementing partners , as well as effective collaboration with host country organization working collaboratively with PEPFAR IP (s) supporting national level activities
Organize NMEMS representation at relevant meetings with stakeholders, as appropriate
Interact with client and 0ther stakeholders as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Required Qualification and Experience
Degrees in medicine and public health
High degree of judgment, maturity, ingenuity and originality to interpret strategy; to analyze, develop, and present work and to monitor and evaluate implementation of programs
Ability to analyze and monitor complex health/HIV/AIDS situations
Minimum 5 years field experience focused on supporting HIV/AIDS /PEPFAR activities
Ability to develop and carry out work plans and solve problems independently
Experience managing or supporting monitoring and evaluation of USG-funded projects/programs
Knowledgeable in ME and quality assurance methods and approaches (includes quantitative, qualitative and participatory);
Strong communications and interpersonal skills and ability to manage and work with diverse teams Commitment to working as a team.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Proficiency in the use of Access, Excel or statistical packages (e.g SPSS/SAS) Training/experience
Qualitative and quantitative research experience
Knowledge of USAID and PEPFAR policies and guidance
